Day 1
- Depart in the morning to see Wilpena
Pound in spectacular colours and texture.
- Track north over the Flinders Ranges, Leigh
Creek, the Old Ghan line, and Marree.
- Continue over the southern parts of Lake
Eyre North, witnessing amazing colours and
possible birdlife.
- Land on the world's largest cattle station
and enjoy lunch at the William Creek Hotel.
- Take off over Lake Eyre again following the
water upstream over the Goyder Lagoon
and Diamantina River to Birdsville.
- Take a stroll to watch to sun go down before
dinner.
- Enjoy the unique experience of a cold one at
the bar with the locals or simply retire to
your room for the night.
Day 2
- Breakfast in Birsdville, a tour of the local
Working Museum and we're ready to head
off.
- See the famous Birdsville Racetrack from
the air before taking up a heading for
Coongie Lakes. Be amazed at the abundant
amount of water and wildlife that has converged
on this beautiful system of over 20
lakes.
- Lunch at Innaminka Hotel and you'll have a
hatrick! Stretch the legs before departing
for the last leg of the tour.
- Heading south for home, we'll take you over
the Gammon Ranges, Arkaroola and Blinman
before a smooth touchdown back at
Rawnsley Park Station.
